What We Collect:
We collect only what is necessary to run the game:
-
Character name and password — password is stored as a cryptographic hash; your actual password is never stored or transmitted.
-
Email address (required) — used for account verification and account-related communications: password recovery, character inactivity notices, payment confirmations, and (if you opt in) direct message notifications.
-
Character gender — required for the game; no expectation is made that this reflects your actual gender, and it is not treated as personal information.
-
IP addresses — logged for security purposes.
-
Game content — messages posted in common areas are stored and visible to other players; they may be reviewed by moderators. Direct messages (Ye Olde Mail) are stored and visible only to the sender and the intended recipient; administrators cannot read them.
